ClipStash Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 1, 2026

Overview

ClipStash is a privacy-first clipboard history manager. We believe your clipboard data is personal, and we treat it that way.

Data Collection

We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your data on external servers.

All clipboard history, tags, settings, and preferences are stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API. Your data never leaves your browser.

What Data Is Stored Locally

Permissions

We request only the minimum permissions required. We never request access to your browsing history, bookmarks, or other personal data.

Third-Party Services

If you choose to upgrade to ClipStash Pro, payment processing is handled by ExtensionPay. ExtensionPay processes payments through Stripe. We do not have access to your credit card details. Please refer to ExtensionPay's privacy policy for their data handling practices.

Analytics & Tracking

ClipStash does not include any analytics, telemetry, or tracking code. We have no way to know how you use the extension.

Data Deletion

You can delete individual clips, clear all clips, or uninstall the extension to remove all stored data. When you uninstall ClipStash, all locally stored data is automatically removed by Chrome.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be communicated through the extension update notes.
